Our billet control blades are essential when wanting to fit a wider tire to the rear of any BA BF FG FGX Falcons, Territory and FPV. BA BF FG FGX Falcons, Territory and FPV Falcons with factory control blade IRS rear suspension are limited to 275 sections wide rear tire. This is because when attempting to fit anything bigger that a 275 section wide rear tire the first place the tire will contact will be the control blade.
Machined from 6061-T6 Aircraft grade aluminum we have created 25mm extra clearance to allow that bigger rim and tire. How much? Try a 315/25/20 rear tire on an 11″ rim all fitting under the rear without needing to lip the guards on FG and FGX.
Any mass-produced part is going to be a compromise, and OEM control blades are no exception. To be efficient, vehicle manufacturers need to build upper control arms quickly. And to maintain profitability, those arms need to be made cheaply. The result is a stamped control blade that flexes and moved any all-load conditions.
Many try adding spacers and shims to bring the control blade in further, but there are a few fundamental flaws in doing this.
1. The rear wheel alignment and geometry is altered.
2. The OEM control blades are made from pressed metal and are prone to flex and movement.
3. The control blade bush is not designed to be on an angle.
Machined from 6061-T6 Aircraft grade aluminum. Finite analysis and stress tested on all power levels. Shape optimization analysis to reduce size and weight while maintain all safety factors. If you break them, we will replace them.
